In the early 1990s, thanks to the determination of Denis Zilio and the invaluable help of his father Joseph, a new family-run business Saonara. Zilio Nurseries has focused on the production and cultivation of fruit plants from the very beginning. The fertile land of Saonara, known for its tradition of plant cultivation, provided the ideal soil to nurture their ambition.
In the early years, the business was mainly related to the production and sale of bare-root fruit plants. Over time, production was expanded by introducing the cultivation of potted plants. This new offering included not only traditional fruits, but also some varieties of ornamental plants.
Today, Zilio Nurseries continues to vigorously pursue its original goal: to bring to market high quality products, cultivated with the same passion and attention to detail that characterized the early days of the business. This commitment is also made possible thanks to the fundamental contribution of the two sons, Enrico and Mirko, who represent the new generation ready to keep the family tradition alive.

The Saonara Floricultural District is a reality created to promote and enhance internationally the production of floriculture companies in the area, to develop through their aggregation new business opportunities and to support the innovation and internationalization of all the more than 40 companies in the sector in the area.
We have firmly decided to become part of this reality, with which we we share goals and principles, with the aim of enhancing and growing our territory, which has given us so much over the years of work and thanks to which we are still here today to offer quality products.
